My Wellness Journey

My path to becoming a wellness professional started with a natural passion for creativity, a love for physical activity and a mindful approach to nutrition. However, it wasn’t until I pursued acting in my twenties that I truly grasped the importance of mind-body-spirit harmony. As I delved into the craft, exploring the intricacies of human emotion and experience, I began to comprehend the profound interplay between our mental, physical, and emotional selves

Life has a way of teaching us profound lessons during tough times. Amidst my mother enduring three debilitating strokes in just nine months, my 11-year-old son struggling to breathe in the ICU due to a severe asthma attack, and the demands of a production project that required weekly travel, one day, I found myself unexpectedly overwhelmed by a crippling panic attack. In that moment, I felt a profound echo of the struggles my mother faced with her anxiety.

In the aftermath, I vowed to prioritize my emotional well-being. I deepened my journaling practice and I turned to tools like meditation, Reiki, journaling, and yoga, embarking on a journey of self-discovery and healing.  Along with my arts education trainings, I felt a calling to share these transformative practices with others. This led me to dive into research and earn certifications in yoga and social-emotional learning. My own experiences and daily practices have also shaped my understanding and ability to guide others on their own paths to wholeness.

Throughout my journey, it’s also become abundantly clear that creativity and the arts hold immense power to heal.  Drawing from my background in professional acting, I infuse elements of creativity and artistic expression, along with mindfulness and yoga practices into my training sessions, recognizing the profound impact they can have on our overall well-being.

Today, as a wellness professional and artistic healer, I find immense joy in guiding others on their journey to wellness and creativity. With each life I touch, I’m reminded of the resilience of the human spirit and the incredible potential for growth and transformation. It’s a journey I’m grateful to be on, and I’m humbled by the opportunity to help others find peace, balance, and fulfillment in their own lives.
